Carole Z Williams
Drawing and painting has been a life-long adventure. Even as a preschooler
she was drawing on every scrap
of paper and magazine she could find, drawing animals, people and scenes.
When she was 10 years old her father was given a large oil painting set which
he immediately gave to her, and so, with her parents encouragement, began her
love of painting.
Although mostly self-taught, she studied drawing at Cornell University with
renowned artist Zevi Blum for several years, along with workshops with popular
artists including Robert Bateman.
Circumstances called for taking a hiatus from art several times for periods of
years but the urge to paint
never left. As soon as the opportunity came her art continued.
Living in tropical south Florida presents many opportunities to paint the lush
rich colors and wildlife that she loves so much. Portraits and landscapes are
also favorites.
Carole`s art has been in many shows, including one man shows. Her art is
inspired during travels using
sketches and reference photos of scenes that catch her eye.
She is a member of ASOPA, Oil Painters of America, National Museum of Women in
the Arts and the Delray Art league.
Her artwork can be found in private and corporate collections around the
country.
